Hotel Josef was built for a new era. Eva Jiřičná set out to reimagine hospitality; from the iconic spiral staircase to the smallest gesture of care, every detail reflects her vision. As part of the Design Hotels community, Josef celebrates individuality over convention. We invite you to do the same — to shape your stay, in your own way.

THE ROOMS

Velvet carpets and dimmed light lead you to your room, where floor-to-ceiling windows fill the space with the warm glow of daylight. Every detail is designed for comfort.

The upper floors offer one-of-a-kind views of Prague's stunning skyline, and all the rooms exhibit Eva Jiřičná’s focus on clear, clean lines and industrial materials.

Glass and steel are softened by warm-colored textiles, complemented by iconic design pieces and light sculptures by Flos and Luceplan.

Josef has continued to evolve through careful remodelings and improvements; but at every step of the way, we stay true to the original vision.

Rebel est. 2002

When Hotel Josef opened in 2002, it carved its own niche in the Prague hospitality scene. The modern aesthetic and minimalist design brought a dynamic new energy to the city's architecture.

Architect Eva Jiřičná envisioned spaces shaped by clarity, precision, and light. The spiral staircase in the lobby is her philosophy made tangible — its form as pure as its purpose.

When Josef became Prague's first Design Hotel, it marked a turning point in how locals and visitors saw the city — the moment the city began to embrace a new era.
