Finish your session in the sauna, lounge on the terrace, or book a massage at Planet Zen Spa, specializing in Asian and Ayurvedic treatments, located at our sister hotel, Maximilian, just steps away.

Just give us 20 minutes notice and we’ll warm up the sauna for you. Fresh towels and a water cooler are always available.

Stay fit at the rooftop

Our rooftop gym is an open space, brightly lit by floor-to-ceiling windows looking out on Prague’s iconic tiled rooftops.

Weightlifters can train with an Olympic barbell, up to 170 kg of plates, dumbbells from 5 to 30 kg, a squat rack, and a bench press — everything for a full-body session. Cardio lovers can ride on Technogym bikes equipped with interactive programs or follow our custom running routes that double as sightseeing tours.
Flexibility has its place too: yoga mats, TRX bands, and mobility tools allow you to balance strength with finesse. And between sessions? Step out onto the terrace — a sunlit retreat in summer, or simply a spot to catch your breath while looking over Prague’s spires.

Hotel Josef’s in-house personal trainer Lukáš Zaspal is a two-time Guinness World Record holder, national-level professional boxer, Olympic weightlifting coach, and martial arts specialist. He has trained elite Czech and international athletes — but what defines him most is his calm, encouraging approach.

Lukáš’s sessions aren’t just about movement — they’re about discovering confidence and joy in your body’s capabilities. Whether you’re pulling on boxing gloves for the first time or refining a strength routine, his knowledge and personality make the process as rewarding as the results.
